Forum: bookmobile Subject: How to find who owns a copyright & how to contact them?

For books that still may be protected by copyright, I was wondering how to contact the copyright owner.

As some may grant reprint premission for a modest sum... so they could be treated like any other vendor... the paper vendor, the toner vendor, etc.

But first you have to be able to find and contact them.

the best way to find a copyright holder is to go to copyright.gov and do a search. copyright holder mailing info is part of the copyright certification that is placed on file when the person creating the work registers it with the copyright office.
